I have had this product for almost 5 months now. The model I bought was R-3310 which includes the HDTV tuner. This one is R-3300 which does not and I bought it at a different website.
Here is the site specs.
http://www.tvix.co.kr/eng/products/HDR-3300.aspx
I have installed a 1.5 TB Hard Drive with NTFS partition.
I have put in all of my son's DVD movies and have all of our home videos since he was born (3years worth) about 60 hours. I have copied all of my MP3s which there are no issues.
I got TVIX Net Share to work which that took some doing even with a networking background. Make sure you have the IP address matching from the DVICO to your PC TVIX Net Share. You can share your DVICO with 4 different computers. I use Mozilla's FireFTP to do this and can get 1.5Mbps transfer rate so I recommend using the USB 2.0 interface to transfer large files. Also I can play DVD files saved on your PC Stream to my DVICO and it worked with my wireless Laptop connection!! Just don't use your microwave while playing it wireless or it will jam the signal a bit.
HDTV tuner was quick to find the channels. However it looks for the analog signal first which there aren't any then searches the HD ones.
I have also used the Analog recorder to backup my Satellite TV programs. I I canceled my satellite since I can record local HD channels and save monthly $$.
Also It is so quiet compared to my Satellite DVR's rumblings.
I have played around with the Slide show of images.
I got various thumbdrives, SD/SDHC card adapters, external USB 2.0 Harddrives to read from it. This thing can have endless storage.
I the past I have toyed with building PCs and created multimedia stations using ATI or GForce cards etc but it was to much hassle to accommodate a 3 year old's patience and the energy cost savings is night and day. PC 150 Watts compared to 25 watts of the DVICO.
Must have.
